He completed his graduate studies at Ohio State University and Columbus College of Art and Design. In 1978, he opened Eickholt Glass Studio in Columbus, Ohio. He is best-known for incorporating precious metals and oxides into his various creations, including vases, perfume bottles, paperweights and sculptures. His work has been sold at a variety of galleries as well as featured at the Corning Museum of Glass in Corning, New York, and the Massillon Museum in Massillon, Ohio.
